Replacement hooks

Because of the natural oils in the genuine leather, some hooks seem to tarnish more quickly than others. Because there is silver in the hooks, they all tarnish with time and wear. Most of the time they can be easily cleaned. Many times rubbing the metal between your fingers will clean them up, you can also use jewelry cleaning wipes. Pro tip:

Due to some of the added elements of newer styles of earrings, such as metal rings, jumprings, wood, etc.,  earring hooks can open slightly with movement and wear. It's best to squeeze the top of those hooks to be sure they are completely closed every time you wear your earrings to avoid loss.
